This line was created by an Italian aristocrat turned artist, Giovanni De Simone, from Northern Sicily. De Simone greatly appreciated the work of famed artist Pablo Picasso, whose influences are evident in the bright colors and simple lines of his work.
The DeSimone ceramics studio began in the 1960s and produced both dinnerware and serving pieces as well as decorative tiles and larger panels
This collection features scenes reminiscent of Sicilian folk art, including the marketplace, wine making, and the Mediterranean Sea.
No two pieces or the De Simone collection are alike, which makes each item rare and unique.
